About Paryushana
Paryushana is the most important Jain festival, observed for eight days by Svetambara Jains and ten days (Das Lakshana) by Digambara Jains in the month of Bhadrapada. It is a time of fasting, prayer, study and self-reflection.
It ends with Samvatsari, when Jains seek forgiveness from everyone for any hurt caused, with the words 'Michhami Dukkadam'.
